This project, located in Gelibolu District of Çanakkale Province, has a total closed area of 10,000 m². The layout created with 10.40 meter axis intervals was designed to serve the local people as a closed marketplace. In addition, the Closed Activity Area created by passing 52.00 meters of clearance has the distinction of being the widest open-spaced closed public area in the region.
The upper cover system is formed by vaulted roofs designed on 10.40 meter axes. Natural light and ventilation control are provided thanks to the upper lanterns positioned on the vaults. Clamped metal coating was preferred for the roof covering, and transparent polycarbonate material was used in the lighting openings. Sandwich panel systems were preferred for the facades.
All columns in the project are integrated into the rainwater management system. Water is designed to be collected in a tank placed under the foundation through vertical rainwater pipes passing through the steel columns. In this way, the structure offers an environmentally friendly solution in terms of sustainable water use.
